Mack Brown will coach his last game for the University of Texas against the Oregon Ducks. With his departure, the topic of who will take over for him at the legendary program has been a hot topic. Most recently, it’s been a conversation of ‘will he or won’t he’ with current Alabama head coach Nick Saban.
On Tuesday night, Chip Brown, writer for Orange Bloods and SiriusXM radio host, appeared on Fox Sports Live to discuss the coaching vacancy.
Chip Brown listed some surprising names at potential replacements for Mack Brown.
Chip Brown named Urban Meyer, Jim Harbaugh, David Shaw and you guessed it, Mike Tomlin as potential big name replacements.
While Fox Sports Live tweeted that they are in play, it’s a hard thing to imagine.
Either way, it’s a story to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
Per @ChipBrownOB, Nick Saban isn’t the only big name in play for the #Longhorns. Urban Meyer. Mike Tomlin. Jim Harbaugh. David Shaw.
