Andrew McCutchen has been named to his fourth straight All-Star game. He will be a starter as the Pirates CF received the most votes among NL outfielders in this year’s fan vote.
“It’s a great feeling,” said McCutchen. “Definitely an honor, and I’m just happy I’m going to have some guys come with me and accompany me out there. I’m glad that the fans came out to vote, and it’s a great honor”
McCutchen currently posts a .322/.542/.965 split with 26 doubles (T-1st for MLB OF), three triples, 13 home runs and 53 RBI while stealing 13 bases in 13 attempts. His 104 hits this season lead all NL players. He was named the NL Player-of-the-Month for June when he went .343/.686/1.096 split line with 12 doubles, eight home runs and 25 RBI while going 5-for-5 in stolen bases.
