Blake, 24, was taken to a jail cell where he was allowed to sober up before being released. Neither the player nor the team have made any comment on the matter as of Monday evening.
A former college player at UTEP, Blake signed with Jacksonville in 2012 as an undrafted free agent. He joined the Steelers in 2013 and played in all 16 games last season, starting in one. He made 42 tackles, forced one fumble and had one interception and on a defensive backs unit that was already thin last season, is expected to play a larger role moving forward, especially due to the questionable futures of Ike Taylor and Troy Polamalu, as well as the departure of Brice McCain, who recently signed a deal with the Miami Dolphins for $5.5 million over two years.
