Much has been made about Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown’s contract over the past few months.
With wide receivers such as Julio Jones, Dez Bryant, Demaryius Thomas and other inking mega deals, many have been left wondering if Brown was next.
Brown, who still has three years left on his current contract, briefly considered holding out of camp this season, but instead showed up hoping the franchise would take care of him.
They did that on Tuesday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Steelers restructured the contracts of Brown, tight end Heath Miller and kicker Shaun Suisham, freeing up some more short term money.

The Steelers gave Brown a small raise, moving $2 million of his salary from next season into a signing bonus this year, upping his total earnings from $6 million this season to $8 million.
The moves, which create about $6 million of addition cap space will be likely used to offset a slew of injured players as the Steelers will now have some flexibility to make a few moves before the season begins.
