This is the fourth in a series of looking the Pittsburgh Steelers and how they will fare from a fantasy football perspective in 2015. I now move to the wide receiver position and perhaps the best wide receiver in the game in Antonio Brown. Brown has had a two-year run that should make him the top receiver going off the board. Two years ago he finished with 110 receptions, 1,503 total yards and nine touchdowns. Last season he even improved on those numbers by adding an additional 19 ... Read More

2015 Fantasy Football Outlook: DeAngelo Williams
This is the third part in a series looking at the fantasy value of current Pittsburgh Steelers. While earlier I looked at guys who can have an impact for your team week in and week out like Ben Roethlisberger and Le’Veon Bell, today I look at a trickier situation in the form of running back DeAngelo Williams. When Williams signed with the Steelers, it didn’t do much for his already plummeting fantasy value, but throw in Bell’s suspension and a guy like Williams has seen his value rise a ... Read More
W&J picked to finish atop PAC again
Coming off another successful season in 2014. The Washington and Jefferson Presidents find themselves in a familiar position heading into 2015. That would be as the favorites in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. W&J is the overwhelming favorite to repeat as conference champions, finishing atop the 2015 PAC Preseason Football Poll. It is the eighth time since 2000 that the Presidents have been tabbed the conference’s preseason favorite. W&J collected 28 first-place votes, while ... Read More
2015 Fantasy Football Outlook: Le’Veon Bell
Yesterday I started my 2015 Pittsburgh Steelers Fantasy Football preview by looking at Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Today I shift the focus to the backfield and look at running back Le’Veon Bell. Bell is an easy guy to analyze, especially after a 2014 season in which he was the Fantasy Football MVP. I for one rode Bell to more than one title a season ago. But there are some complications entering the 2015 campaign as Bell won’t be immediately available, serving a two-game ... Read More
Senquez Golson’s season in jeopardy
Coming into the season, the Pittsburgh Steelers were desperate for a playmaker in their struggling secondary. They thought they had that guy with 2015 second-round draft pick Senquez Golson. Now it looks as if they may have to wait a lot while longer to find out if Golson is going to be the playmaker that they think he is. Golson has been on the PUP list with a shoulder injury since the beginning of training camp and now, according to the Post Gazette's Ed Bouchette, Golson's season ... Read More
2015 Fantasy Football Outlook: Ben Roethlisberger
This is the first in a series looking at the Pittsburgh Steelers and how they will fare not just on the field, but more importantly what type of fantasy football value they will offer during the 2015 season. I will start with Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. I usually play in 10-plus larger leagues a season along with having a lot of DFS action and Roethlisberger was one guy I targeted a season ago. I had a ninth-round value placed on him, but was willing to grab him in the eighth ... Read More
Steelers acquire CB Brandon Boykin from Eagles
One area that is still pretty thin for the Pittsburgh Steelers is the secondary, most notably the cornerback position. For the Steelers to be better in 2015, they have to get better play from their corners. With that in mind, the team added to their current group of corners on Saturday when they acquired Brandon Boykin from the Philadelphia Eagles. In exchange for Boykin, the Steelers will send a 2016 conditional fifth-round draft pick in return. According to ESPN's Adam Caplan, the pick can ... Read More
Martavis Bryant sidelined 10 days
Perhaps no Pittsburgh Steelers player has impressed more during training camp then second-year wide receiver Martavis Bryant. While big things are expected from Bryant during his second go around in the league, that progress he has made from year one to year two will have to be put on hold for a while. According to Ross Jones from FOX, Bryant will be sidelined for at least the next 10 days to undergo minor procedure for an elbow infection. Steelers WR Martavis Bryant to undergo minor ... Read More
Suzie McConnell-Serio signs contract extension
The Pitt women's basketball team is coming off a very successful season that saw the Panthers land in the NCAA Tournament and star player Brianna Kiesel land in the WNBA. That was enough for the Panthers to hand head coach Suzie McConnell-Serio a lengthy contract extension on Friday. Pitt athletic director Scott Barnes announced that McConnell-Serio has been extended through the 2020-21 season. McConnell-Serio came to Pitt from Duquesne in 2013 and quickly turned around the Pitt ... Read More
