For the first time since 2012, Penn State has the chance to go to a bowl game. In September, the NCAA announced that, in light of Penn State’s tremendous efforts to correct their poor reporting measures and make sure that the appropriate resources were available to students, faculty, and fans, the university would be given the chance to play in a postseason game two years earlier than the sanctions originally dictated. Given that Penn State was on its way to a 4-0 start at the time, the ... Read More
Steelers sign DL Ethan Hemer to practice squad
The Pittsburgh Steelers lost a member of their practice squad on Thursday when the Arizona Cardinals plucked defensive end Josh Mauro away from the black and gold. The Steelers announced on Friday that they have signed defensive lineman Ethan Hemer to replace Mauro. Hemer was on the Steelers practice squad just a few weeks ago, but was released when the team signed ... Read More

Have the Steelers lost their identity?
Nothing irritates a sports fan more than watching their team perform inconsistently. Playing well one week and being miserably unrecognizable the next week is maddening. The Steelers loss to the New York Jets in week 10 after dominating the Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens in previous weeks has left fans befuddled and downright angry. A week ago, Steelers fans were at the top of the world after the team had crushed their greatest rival and clawed their way back to the top of the ... Read More

Mistakes, misfortune doom Steelers
A red-hot Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4) team marched into MetLife Stadium on Sunday for a Week 10 date with the miserable, bumbling New York Jets (2-8), only to leave empty-handed and wondering what happened in a 20-13 loss. New York had forced just three turnovers all season but took it away from Pittsburgh four times in an error-prone contest that the Jets dominated from the beginning. Michael Vick led the Jets on a nearly eight-minute drive that resulted in a short field goal by Nick Folk to ... Read More
