Cal’s defense held the leading rusher in the nation to just 55 yards and one of the country’s best offenses to just 370 while forcing four interceptions and causing six fumbles, recovering one in a 48-26 upset win over nationally-ranked Slippery Rock. The Vulcans received standout performances from running back Nick Grissom (121 yards and a TD) and quarterback James Harris (326 yards passing, 4 TDs).

Gannon’s stout defense was pushed the limit and then some in a 45-38 loss to Mercyhurst Saturday. The Lakers received a 133-yard, 2-touchdown performance from standout running back Brandon Brown-Dukes to go with Brendan Boylan’s 446-yard, 4-TD game in the win while holding Gannon’s Brock Jones to 121 yards and no scores in a back-and-forth game.

IUP used three fourth-quarter touchdowns in the last 8:03 to pull ahead of Seton Hill for a 51-28 victory. The Crimson Hawks ran for 224 yards including a 92-yard, 4-TD performance from Darian Bradley and 108 yards and a score from Luigi Lista-Brinza.
