Generally known for offense, it was Slippery Rock’s defense which pitched a shutout for the final three quarters in a 46-17 victory over Millersville. Again it was Shamar Greene who impressed, rushing for 238 yards and three scores.

Edinboro couldn’t keep up with East Stroudsburg after falling behind 20-7 after one quarter and eventually fell, 47-34. Cody Harris threw for four scores and tossed no interceptions but it wasn’t enough for the Fighting Scotts as East Stroudsburg’s Matt Soltes threw for 502 yards and six TDs.

Two 40-plus-yard interception returns in the second quarter for Bloomsburg put Mercyhurst in a hole it would never be able to climb out of, eventually falling, 38-22. While the Lakers struggled to find consistency in the passing game, running back Brandon Brown-Dukes went over the century mark with 102 yards.
