Another PSAC West player has found his way into the NFL.
Former Cal Pa. tight end/wide receiver Morrell Presley has been signed by the Seattle Seahawks, according to reports.
Presley was originally a USC commit as a five-star tight end when current Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was at the helm in Southern California. After decommitting from the Trojans, Presley went to UCLA. After various off-the-field issues took their toll on the big tight end, Presley transferred to Cal.
While at Cal, Presley caught six passes for 65 yards during the 2012 season.
Presley had originally tried out for the team during the rookie mini camp but was not signed to a deal. The announcement of the signing came not long after Seattle wide receiver Sidney Rice announced his retirement, leaving an open roster spot.
In other news, Cal Pa. wide receiver CJ Goodwin signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers following the NFL Draft and is still with the team as they enter training camp this week.
