A steady barrage of touchdowns helped Clarion (1-1) to a 55-16 blowout win over Millersville (0-2) Saturday. Clarion used a balanced attack and scored on an interception return and a punt return in the win while Delrece Williams scored twice on the ground.

Slippery Rock (2-0) used a high-powered rushing attack to topple East Stroudsburg (1-1) by a 56-24 score Saturday. The Rock gained 456 yards on the ground, more than ESU’s 412 yards of total offense. Shamar Greene and Teddy Blakeman both went over 100 yards and Blakeman scored three times on the ground.

Gannon (2-0) just needed one scoring drive to take down Cheyney (0-2) on Saturday by a score of 48-0. Brock Jones provided four rushing scores and Gannon rolled easily. The Knights piled up 278 rushing yards in the win.

After scoring 11 points, including a 50-yard field goal as time expired, in the fourth quarter to force overtime, Cal (1-1) fell to Bloomsburg (2-0), 24-21 in extra time. Cal out-gained Bloomsburg, 389-232, but couldn’t stop Bloomsburg when it needed to.

A 13-point third quarter lifted Seton Hill (1-1) over Lock Haven (0-2) by a 27-16 score. Seton Hill gained 193 yards on the ground and used a plethora of backs to get the job done. The Griffins also used two quarterbacks to add 202 passing yards.

Shippensburg (2-0) used two big quarters to top Edinboro (0-2) by a score of 47-21. In a game which saw both teams air it out, the difference came on the ground. Edinboro managed just 46 rushing yards while Shipp piled up 246. Edinboro’s Cody Harris did, however, throw for 300 yards and two scores.

IUP (1-1) couldn’t overcome a 20-7 halftime score as Kutztown (1-1) cruised to a 44-7 disposal of the Crimson Hawks. After taking a quick 7-6 lead off a Luigi Litsta-Brinza 1-yard dive, IUP would not score the rest of the game, surrounding five touchdowns and a field goal en route to its first loss of the season.

West Chester (2-0) scored 21 points in the first quarter to down Mercyhurst (0-2). The Lakers defense was no match for the passing game of West Chester as the Lakers gave up 306 yards and three scores through the air. A defensive touchdown for the Lakers in the second quarter wasn’t enough to turn the tides and eventually led to a Mercyhurst lost.
