As Pitt Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi continues to bring in talent, it is only natural that he starts to lose a few players as well.
That happened on Friday when Pitt announced that defensive back Pat Amara has elected to transfer.
Amara played in 10 games as a true freshman in 2014, making two starts as a true freshman. During that season he recorded 18 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception and one pass breakup.
This season Amara appeared in all 12 of the Panthers contests, recording 14 total tackles.
In addition linebacker Jamal Davis will also elect to transfer.
Davis redshirted in 2014 as a freshman and appeared in 10 games this season, making one tackle.
Both players cited playing time as the reason for the transfers.
