Duquesne (10-2) returns from Christmas break to play Georgia Tech (9-3) at the McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta tonight at 7 p.m.
This evening marks the last non-conference game and second road game for the Dukes, who look to earn an 11-2 record for the first time since the 1971-72 season.
Duquesne comes off a 72-65 Robert Morris win on Dec. 19. The Yellow Jackets return to action from a 76-60 win over Colgate on Dec. 23.
The Dukes, who are 7-8 in non-conference road games under fourth-year head coach Jim Ferry, lost 78-68 to Georgia Tech in the two teams’ March 1970 meeting. The Yellow Jackets lead the series 1-0.
Duquesne, 6-25 all time against Atlantic Coast Conference schools, last defeated an ACC school in a 98-93 overtime win at Boston College.
The Dukes will play without senior forward and team captain Jeremiah Jones who suffered a season-ending torn ACL in his right knee in the Robert Morris game.
