Duquesne (11-6, 1-3) hosts St. Bonaventure (12-3, 4-0) tonight at 6 p.m. at Palumbo Center in its first of two games this season facing the Bonnies.
The Dukes look to add on to an 8-1 home record as they face their most frequent all-time opponent. Duquesne leads the series 58-56 and leads 39-16 at Pittsburgh. The two, tied 30-30 in Atlantic 10 regular season games, meet for the 115th time.
Duquesne owns more conference wins over St. Bonaventure (30) than any other Atlantic 10 school.
The Dukes aim to rebound from last year’s two losses to the Bonnies—100-97 overtime loss in Pittsburgh and 92-75 loss in Olean.
St. Bonaventure has won nine of the past 12 matchups. Three of the past four meetings have been determined by four or fewer points.
The Bonnies, who are 4-2 on the road with Atlantic 10 wins over George Mason and UMass, have the most road wins in the Atlantic 10.
Duquesne faces the second-highest scoring trio of any Division I team in St. Bonaventure senior forward Dion Wright, senior guard Marcus Posley and sophomore guard Jaylen Adams. The three combine to average 51.3 points per game. All three rank in the top 13 scorers in the Atlantic 10.
