The Duquesne Women’s basketball team keeps on winning and in the process keeps making history.
Not only is Duquesne riding a program best 14-game win streak and already hold the consecutive home game win streak, but for the first time in program history, the Duquesne women’s basketball team is ranked in the USA Today/Coaches Top 25 Poll.
The Dukes (15-1, 3-0 A-10) received 65 votes and are ranked No. 25 in the nation, tied with DePaul.
Somehow Duquesne still isn’t ranked in the AP Poll, but received 17 votes this week’s Associated Press Women’s Basketball Top 25 Poll. Last week, the Dukes received only two votes.
Duquesne will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Rhode Island (7-8, 1-2 A-10).
The Dukes went 2-1 vs. URI a season ago, including a win in the quarterfinal round of the Atlantic 10 Championship.
