The Pittsburgh Steelers (4-5) may have lost a tight game to the Dallas Cowboys (8-1), but running back Ezekiel Elliott had nothing but nice things to say about the Steelers, calling them “the best team we’ve played.”
In a postgame interview with Fox Sports, Elliott said, “I think they’re the best team we’ve played this year. … They played well, they played really well. They’re a very tough front. They’re very physical, controlled the line of scrimmage a lot of the time. It comes down to who wants it more. We kept grinding, and things ended up good. It was fun to come to this environment, play against a great team and come out with a win.”
The Dallas rookie finished with 114 rushing yards (on 21 attempts) and two touchdowns, one of which was the game-winning 31-yard touchdown run with nine seconds left in the game. Elliott also had two receptions for 95 yards — he scored on a short pass he then took for 83 yards.
After dropping their first game of the season, the Cowboys have won eight straight, beating Washington, the Chicago Bears, the San Francisco 49ers, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Green Bay Packers, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cleveland Browns and the Steelers.
