Former Pitt linebacker and Aliquippa native Brandon Lindsey will continue his professional football career in Sweden. Lindsey earned second-team All-Big East honors as a junior at Pitt, where he accumulated 17.5 tackles for a loss, 10 sacks and three forced fumbles.
Lindsey went undrafted, but signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lindsey was cut by the Steelers after injuring his shoulder in the summer of 2012.
Lindsey continued his football career in the CFL after he signed a contract with the Toronto Argonauts, but the team cut him two weeks after signing.
