The Clarion Golden Eagles have had a rough go of things the past few weeks. But as things got tough for the Eagles, their All-American defensive end came through when they needed him.
Julian Howsare single-handedly took down the Seton Hill Griffins Saturday as the Golden Eagles picked up a sound 41-2 victory.
Howsare blocked two punts and recovered one in the endzone for a touchdown, recorded three tackles-for-loss and 10 total tackles in the game.
Howsare blocked his first punt early in the second quarter. After blocking it, he pounced on the ball that had fallen into the endzone and put the Golden Eagles up 13-0.
The All-American posted all of these stats before leaving the game in the third quarter to get some much needed rest.
For his strong play in leading the Golden Eagles defense, Howsare is this week’s player of the week.
