To say it has been a disappointing season for the Pitt Panthers would be an understatement and that disappointment has been reflected in the ACC postseason honors.
The Panthers went without a member on the 2014-15 All-ACC Basketball Team, although both Jamel Artis and Michael Young were named honorable mentions.
Thanks to a very strong close to the conference season, Artis nearly cracked the third team, but finished seven points behind North Carolina’s Brice Johnson for a spot on that third team.
Artis proved to be Pitt’s best player at times throughout the ACC season and led the Panthers in scoring at 13.8 points per game.
Young was also dominant at times and finished the year averaging 13.5 points per game and also led Pitt in rebounding with 7.3 rebounds per night.
Pitt looks to be in pretty good shape going forward as both Artis and Young are only sophomores.
It is also worth noting that there were only three underclassmen on the ACC’s three teams so the future looks bright for the Pitt duo.
Here’s a look at the complete All-ACC teams.
