The wait is finally over for former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome Bettis.
Bettis got “the call” on Saturday with the long awaited news that he will be heading to Canton as part of the NFL’s 2015 Hall of Fame Class.
So happy to be amongst the games greatest players!! My Family and I are truly honored and blessed!

“The Bus” ranks sixth on the NFL’s all-time rushing list, amassing 13,662 yards in his lengthy career and while some of his other numbers may not be Hall of Fame worthy, there can no longer be a debate on whether or not Bettis belongs with the NFL’s greatest of all time.
For Bettis, this was the fifth consecutive year that he was a finalist for the Hall of Fame. It also was his best and most realistic shot at getting in after he made it to the final 10 last year.
Another former Steelers’ great, linebacker Kevin Greene, did not get in.
Despite ranking third all-time in sacks, Greene was left out once again. He finished his career with 160 sacks, 35.5 of those sacks coming in a Steelers uniform from 1993-95.
Voters had to select at least four of the 15 modern-day finalists and no more than seven.
Bettis is joined by Charles Haley, Tim Brown, Will Shields, Junior Seau, Bill Polian, Ron Wolf and Mick Tingelhoff
