The nod comes after the Riverhounds 4-1 victory over the Wilmington Hammerheads. It was the Riverhounds third win of the season, and second under head coach Dave Brandt. Kerr scored a goal in the win, as he intercepted the ball from the Hammerheads and drove it, unassisted, towards goal. Kerr also had another shot in the match.
This season, Kerr has appeared in 17 games for the Riverhounds. He owns three goals and two assists to his name.
Making the USL Team of the Week bench was forward Corey Hertzog, who had two assists on the goals Stephen Okai and Nick Thompson. Hertzog also had a goal of his own, which was assisted by Mike Green.
The Riverhounds will return to Highmark Stadium to face Louisville City FC on Friday, August 5. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
