The Pittsburgh Steelers got a small glimpse of how troubled third-year wide receiver Martavis Bryant was last season.
Now they are getting a full view of Bryant’s troubles and it looks to prove costly for the upcoming season.
Dejan Kovacevic of DK Sports was the first to report that Bryant, who was suspended for the first four games of last season for violating the NFL’s drug policy, is likely now facing a full year suspension for once again violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

Bryant is appealing the suspension according to the Post Gazette’s Ed Bouchete.
If Bryant misses the full season, it would be a huge blow to one of the best offenses in the NFL, and it would possibly force the Steelers to try to find another wide receiver a lot earlier in the draft than they would have originally planed.
Bryant caught 50 passes last season for 765 yards and six touchdowns.
