Perhaps no Pittsburgh Steelers player has impressed more during training camp then second-year wide receiver Martavis Bryant.
While big things are expected from Bryant during his second go around in the league, that progress he has made from year one to year two will have to be put on hold for a while.
According to Ross Jones from FOX, Bryant will be sidelined for at least the next 10 days to undergo minor procedure for an elbow infection.

That will mean Bryant will miss the Hall of Fame game next week and his status for the Steelers second preseason game will likely be up in the air.
The Steelers have expanded Bryant’s workload during, asking him to learn both outside receiver spots. Last season Bryant wasn’t involved in the game plan until Week 7 and they kept it simple for him, pretty much asking him to just run straight down the field.
Bryant finished his rookie campaign with 26 receptions for 529 yards and eight touchdowns. More importantly Bryant averaged over 21 yards per reception and had a big impact on quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. In the six games Bryant scored at least one touchdown, Roethlisberger averaged 356 yards per game.
The good news for Bryant and the Steelers is that this happened early on in camp and shouldn’t impact Bryant’s status for the regular season opener.
