The Pirates will be without outfielder Starling Marte for the final two games in Chicago, as he has left the team to deal with a personal matter in the Dominican Republic. Manager Clint Hurdle suspects that Marte will return for Monday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
After a slow start and time off, Marte has been red hot since the call-up of Gregory Polanco. On the season, Marte is hitting .258, with five home runs, 17 steals and 26 RBI.
