Russell Martin and Starling Marte — finalists at their positions for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award for the second consecutive year — finished behind Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina and Marlins left fielder Christian Yelich.
Martin posted a .994 fielding percentage with five errors in 880 chances behind the plate along with three passed balls.
Molina — who played in the same amount of games — finished with a .998 fielding percentage with two errors in 868 chances while allowing three passed balls. It is his seventh consecutive Gold Glove award.
Marte posted a .968 fielding percentage with six errors in 188 chances while assisting on four plays. His nine defensive runs saved above average was much lower than his total from last season.
Yelich — in his first full season — posted a .993 fielding percentage with two errors in 279 chances while assisting on six plays. He posted 13 defensive runs saved above average for his rookie season.
This begins the awards portion of the offseason with the Manager of the Year and MVP to be announced next week.
