Atlanta at New Orleans:
Atlanta is heading into New Orleans at 8-0 while the Saints are a disappointing 3-5. The Saints are coming into Sunday’s game on a two-game win streak, and the offense is consistently putting up points. As of late, the defense has looked slightly better, which isnt saying much since they are still ranked in the bottom in the NFL in most defensive categories. I see the high-flying Falcons pass offense putting up huge numbers on Sunday, and the Falcons have just enough defense to control the Saints. I am predicting a 34-27 Atlanta win.
NY Jets at Seattle:
The Jets need to string some wins together if they want to try and get into the playoffs. It will be very tough to go into Seattle where Russell Wilson and the Seahawks are 4-0 this season. The Seahawks looked really good last week against Minnesota, but I expect Rex Ryan to develop a defensive game plan to confuse Wilson. I’m taking the Jets win behind a three touchdown performance by Mark Sanchez, 24-14.
Houston at Chicago:
This is clearly the game of the week, and could be the game of the year if both teams play to their potential. These teams are almost mirror images of each other. Both have a top 10 running back with Arian Foster and Matt Forte, both have a top 5 wide receiver with Andre Johnson and Brandon Marshall, an above average quarter back with Cutler and Schaub, a top 5 defense, and both have MVP candidates in Charles Tillman and J.J. Watt. This matchup will come down to who can convert in the redzone and not kick field goals. I see both teams connecting on big plays, but will need to get seven’s not three’s. I am predicting the Texans use Foster 25+ times Sunday night and he will carry them to a close win, 17-13.
