The Pittsburgh Passion have kept their hot streak alive, breaking records and setting milestones along the way. In their last victory, a 21-6 win over the New York Sharks, running back Ciara Chic came up big.
Chic, a 5th year running back out of West Virginia University and Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, racked up a total of 145 yards on the ground to lead a run-heavy offense which gathered 226 total rushing yards in the win.
The running back which the team simply calls “Chic” started the game off with a 16-yard score in the first quarter to put the Passion on the board.
Chic also added a career-long rush of 42 yards during the game.
For the season, the Passion are 6-0.
For her strong performance, Chic is this week’s Pittsburgh Sporting News athlete of the week.
