Andrew McCutchen seems to win our award more than anyone else, but its hard not to give it to a guy who has been the backbone of this Pirates team. He proved again this week that he’s the face of this franchise and that he can get the job done. Here’s how he did.
First of all, McCutchen registered a hit in each of the Pirates six games this past week. In four of those six games, he registered multiple hits. During the stretch, the Pirates went 5-1.

For the week, McCutchen hit for a .667 average with 2 doubles, a home run, 5 RBIs, and 4 runs scored. He also drew 5 walks and swiped 3 bases.
