The Pittsburgh Pirates schedule game with the Saint Louis Cardinals tonight has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a day/night doubleheader tomorrow, September 30.
The first game tomorrow will begin at 1:35 p.m., with PNC Park’s gates opening at noon. Fans attending the first game will be required to exit the stadium in between the contests. The second game will start at its regularly scheduled time, 7:05 p.m.
Fans with tickets for tonight’s game will be honored for the first game tomorrow or can be exchanged, on a limited basis, for tickets for any of the team’s remaining home games this season or in April of 2016.
Charlie Morton and Michael Wacha were scheduled to pitch tonight, but Gerrit Cole will be bumped up to face Wacha. Morton will instead face Tyler Lyons in the regularly scheduled Wednesday night game.
Piscotty improving
Cardinals outfielder Stephen Piscotty, who left the field on a gurney following a scary collision with fellow outfielder Peter Bourjos in the seventh inning on Monday, was released from the hospital this morning after spending the night for observation. No further update on his condition or potential availability was available.
