The football season may have just ended, but it’s already time to start thinking about the 2017 NFL Draft. (No rest for the weary.) And the first step for many of those college players who hope to make their pro football dreams come true? The NFL Combine.
Six Pitt Panthers and two Penn State Nittany Lions were invited to this year’s NFL Combine, a group headlined by Panthers running back James Conner and quarterback Nate Peterman and Nittany Lions defensive end Garrett Sickles.
Here all all the Pitt and Penn State players invited to the combine:
Pitt:
OT Adam Bisnowaty
RB James Conner
OG Dorian Johnson
TE Scott Orndoff
QB Nathan Peterman
OLB Ejuan Price
Penn State:
WR Chris Godwin
DE Garrett Sickels
Draft boards are all over the place — Johnson is No. 46 overall on CBS’s draft board but is No. 122 on Bleacher Report’s; and Sickels is No. 258 overall on CBS’s board but is No. 72 on Bleacher Report’s — but suggest these two schools have some serious talent (as if that was at all unclear).
