The Pitt men’s basketball team continues to win and as a result Jamie Dixon’s Panthers continue to rise in the polls.
After a week that saw Pitt (14-1, 3-0 ACC) beat Georgia Tech at home and then go on the road to defeat Notre Dame, Pitt saw a bump in both polls on Monday.
The Panthers now sit at No. 20 in the AP Poll and No. 17 in the USA Today Coaches Poll, climbing up four spots in each.
Pitt is currently riding a 10-game win streak, which ties for the fourth longest streak in the Dixon era.
The Panthers will be back in action on Thursday when they have a tough test at Louisville. The Cardinals are ranked 21st in the AP Poll and 20th in the Coaches Poll, respectively.
Overall there are six ranked teams from the ACC in each poll with North Carolina, Duke and Miami ranked in the Top 10 of each.
Kansas and Oklahoma remain the top two in each poll, followed by Maryland, Michigan State and North Carolina.
