If Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt Panthers staff weren’t having a big enough Wednesday already, announcing a very impressive 2016 recruiting class, news got even better for the Panthers in form of a returning Ejuan Price.
Price was granted a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA on Wednesday, adding another solid pass-rushing threat to what could turn out to be a much improved Pitt defense.
Price, who battled numerous injuries throughout his Pitt career, was finally healthy last season and produced a monster year.
He led the Panthers with 11.5 sacks, good for fifth in the NCAA, and was named to the ALL-ACC First Team.
Price’s biggest game was a five sack effort against Louisville.
With Price back in the fold, the Panthers defensive line looks stacked. In addition to Price’s double digit sacks, Dewayne Hendrix, Rori Blair, Shakir Soto, Zack Gilbert and Allen Edwards and others look to round out the depth chart.
