It looks as if Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt defense could be getting some great news for the 2016 season.
According to KDKA-TV sports producer Mike Vukovcan, it appears that Panthers defensive end Ejuan Price will be granted a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA.
Price, who battled numerous injuries throughout his Pitt career, was finally healthy last season and produced a monster year.
He led the Panthers with 11.5 sacks, good for fifth in the NCAA, and was named to the ALL-ACC First Team.
Price’s biggest game was a five sack effort against Louisville.
If Price does get the sixth year granted, the Panthers defensive line looks stack. In addition to Price’s double digit sacks, Dewayne Hendrix, Rori Blair, Shakir Soto, Zack Gilbert and Allen Edwards look to round out the depth chart.
