PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Passion bring home a win to a great night of Pittsburgh Sports. The Passion beat the Toledo Reign 42 – 0 on the road last night. Passion Kicker, Amy Fallon became the Passion all-time extra point leader with 73 career PATs.
Fallon’s first extra point after touchdown was back on April 17, 2010 against Philadelphia. She passed former Passion all-star Lauren Bracco. Amy is already the Passion leader with the most career field goals with six made field goals.
The Pittsburgh Passion created an exciting passing and rushing game lead by Quarterback Lisa Horton and Passion Wide Receiver, Rachel Wojdowski, who completed 9 receptions for 131 receiving yards and 3 TDs against the Reign. Passion Fullback, Candice Snyder, had 8 carries for 128 rushing yards and 2 TDs last night. Opening the scoring drive with the first touchdown of the game was Passion Fullback Melinda Henderson.
The Passion defense brought on a strong game against the Reign with 4 sacks and fumble recoveries by Kaitlain Niedermeyer, Tia Montgomery and Amanda Duncan. Special Teams contributed to the win with one block punt against the Reign.
The Pittsburgh Passion will be on the road next weekend in New York against the Sharks on April 20th. They will return home at Highmark Stadium on April 27th for a 7:05 kickoff for their Second Annual “Community Night”. For more information, visit www.pittsburghpassion.com.
