Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau has received plenty of honors during his lengthy NFL career.
He’s about to get another.
According to KDKA, LeBeau will be honored when the City Council proclaims February “Dick LeBeau Month” in Pittsburgh.
A ceremony is reportedly scheduled in council chambers Feb. 3.
LeBeau’s son Rick told KDKA that his father was moved to learn about the honor, saying that his father’s reaction was “hard to put into words.”
Several of LeBeau’s longtime Steelers players, including James Harrison and Ike Taylor are expected to attend the ceremony.
As for LeBeau’s future as a coach, it looks as if there is a strong possibility he could join former Steelers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhurt in Tennessee, as reported by Gil Brandt.
Looking like Dick LeBeau now heading to Titans. Always good to make the wife happy. Seems to be the case here.

LeBeau had been rumored to be joining Bruce Arians staff in Arizona, but apparently did not want to be that far away from his family.
