The rookie played in 64 games with the Pirates, Polanco posted a slash line of .241/.349/.657 with nine doubles, six home runs and 30 RBI while striking out 50 times in 279 plate appearances.
Polanco is in the midst of a 1-30 slide while seeing minimal playing time due to the hot bat of Travis Snider.
UPDATE: Rosenthal reports Jose Tabata is expected to be recalled to take Polanco’s place.
#Pirates expected to recall Tabata to replace Polanco. Tabata 13-for-30 last 8 games. Would be choice over Lambo, who has 4 HRs last 4.
