Each year the PSAC West and East are pitted against each other multiple times. For one particular weekend, it’s called crossover weekend. This year, the West won out over the weekend, going 11-7 against the East.
Every team but one in the West posted victories over their East counterparts and IUP, Cal and Clarion swept their crossover weekend schedule.
In the same breath, Gannon was handed its first PSAC loss of the season when it fell to Millersville in overtime to begin the weekend. The loss moved Gannon to 8-1 overall in the league, the Golden Knights still maintaining their lead in the West.
Slippery Rock remains at second with a 6-2 conference mark while IUP, which has the same record, sits in third. The Crimson Hawks have the best overall record in the league, however, at 12-2. IUP came in at No. 20 in the NABC Coaches poll released earlier this week.
Rounding out the PSAC West standings is Mercyhurst, Cal, Clarion, Pitt-Johnstown, Edinboro and Seton Hill.
