Mike Box set career highs for yards and touchdowns on senior day to route Gannon, 55-20 Saturday.
Box, a redshirt-senior, threw for 378 yards and four touchdowns to dismantle the Knights. His 378 yards was the most by an IUP quarterback since 2001 and the first 300-yard game by an IUP QB since 2008. Not to be outdone, Terrill Barnes entered IUP’s top 10 in receptions and yards, gaining 151 yards on eight catches, one for a touchdown. The running game was also strong, with Erik Finklea running for 174 and De’Antwan Williams adding 73. The Hawks took the lead early and kept putting it on the Knights.

Mercyhurst 23, Cal U 20
After a back-and-forth battle in the second half, Mercyhurst kicked a game-winning field goal to take a 23-20 victory over Cal U.
Down 13-6 to start the second half, the Vulcans came out moved across midfield but the Lakers were able to force an interception on the 27 yardline. The Lakers would go on to punt on the possession and Trey Johnson was able to recover a blocked punt for a touchdown to tie things up. Cal U would later drive back down the field but another Cody Schroeder interception, this time on the eight yardline, stalled the drive. The Lakers would travel down the field and score on a one-yard score from Richie Sanders. Schroeder would counter with a quick strike to Mike Williams for a 20-yard score with just over 3:00 left to play. On the ensuing drive, the Vulcans were flagged and the Lakers posted a 32-yard run to set up a game-winning 22-yard field goal for the win.
For Mercyhurst, Allen Jones II ran for 154 yards on 27 carries. For Cal U, Schroeder threw for 190 yards and a score but threw three costly interceptions.
The win improves Mercyhurst to 6-4 and drops Cal U to 6-4.
Edinboro 9, Clarion 7
It all came down to inches. Clarion missed a late field goal just inches wide right and Edinboro clung to a 9-7 victory.
Edinboro put points on the board in the first quarter from a fumble that bounced out of the back of the endzone. The Scots tried to pound a touchdown in later in the second quarter, but Clarion’s defense held them at the 1 yardline. The Golden Eagles would travel down the field two possessions later and Darrell Carson took the ball himself 27 yards to the house to take a 7-2 lead. But Edinboro would come back on the next possession and scored on a 30-yard touchdown pass from Jon Girvin to Marcus Johnson before the end of the first half. The second half was all defense and the Scots held on for the win.
Carson led the Golden Eagles with 130 yards rushing and a score. Girvin threw for 146 yards and the score for the Scots.
The win improves Edinboro to 5-5 and drops Clarion to 4-6.
