Altoona Mt. Lions (3-5) at Connellsville Falcons (1-7)
The last week of the season has the Mt. Lions on the cusp of a playoff berth if things go Altoona’s way. Winning would put Altoona in position for a Quad-A Wild Card and the 16th seed if it all works out. The 1-7 Falcons look to end their season on a high note coming off a 23-13 loss to Hempfield last week.
Prugar’s Prediction: Altoona 21, Connellsville 14

Thomas Jefferson Jaguars (6-2) at West Mifflin Titans (6-2)
The rivalry between the Titans and Jaguars intensifies this week as third and fourth place in playoff seeding are on the line. Thomas Jefferson is riding a six-game winning streak in to their road contest with West Mifflin allowing only 12.4 points per game in the process. The Titans look to earn third place in the playoffs via a stout defense that has allowed 13.8 points per game.

Class AA
Burrell Buccaneers (4-4) at Deer Lakes Lancers (5-3)
Both teams look to live another week and earn a WPIAL Class AA Playoff berth Friday night. Burrell looks to earn their first playoff berth since 2012 with a win against Deer Lakes and an Apollo-Ridge loss. The Lancers would also benefit from an Apollo-Ridge loss, but could also use a Valley loss to Freeport along with a win of their own to earn their second playoff berth in school history. Deer Lakes is coming off a 56-26 drubbing at the hands of Apollo-Ridge while Burrell is coming off a loss against Freeport where they gave up 33 unanswered points in the second half.

Serra Catholic Eagles (2-6) at Wilkinsburg Tigers (0-8)
