Robert Morris senior forward Cody Wydo was named one of the ten finalists for the prestigious Hobey Baker Memorial Award, which is presented annually to the nation’s best college hockey player. Wydo is the first Hobey Baker finalist in Robert Morris history.
The list of finalists was determined by online fan voting and a poll of NCAA head coaches. An additional round of fan voting, along with the input of a 27-member selection committee will determine the winner of the 2015 Hobey Baker Award.
Online voting is open to the public today and will be available through March 29 at www.hobeybakeraward.com
The winner will be selected after the NCAA tournament’s regional round, and the top three vote getters will be announced on April 2. The winner will be presented with the award on April 10 at the Frozen Four in Boston, Massachusetts. The ceremony will be televised on NHL Network.
