The Robert Morris Colonials announced their 2015 football schedule today. Second-year head coach John Banaszak’s sqaud will hope to bounce back from a 1-10 season in 2014.
They will have six home games on campus as Joe Walton Stadium and five road contests on their eleven-game slate.
The non-conference schedule starts with the home opener against longtime rival Dayton on September 5. The Colonials will then have a stretch of three non-conference opponents that they will be playing for the first time as they travel to Youngstown State on September 12, host Notre Dame (Ohio) on September 19, and visit South Dakota State on September 26.
The Northeast Conference portion of their schedule starts with a trip to Wagner on October 3. The Colonials will then stay in Moon Township for a while, as they host Sacred Heart on October 10, which will be following by an off week in advance of a cross-town battle against Duquesne, which will take place under the lights at 6:00 p.m. on October 24.
On Halloween, Robert Morris will visit Central Connecticut State, the only team they defeated in Banaszak’s first season. Their final non-conference game will be against another first-time opponent, East Tennessee State, on November 7.
The Colonials will make the trip out Route 22 to visit Saint Francis on November 14 and then wrap up their season with a home game against Bryant on November 21.
