Recently, Steelers third-round pick Dri Archer out of Kent State has earned rave reviews, as he’s drawn comparisons to Jamaal Charles. Archer will have a chance to prove those comparisons, as he’s agreed to a deal with the Steelers.
The five-foot, eight-inch Archer, who had the fastest 40-yard-dash time at the NFL Combine, accumulated 99 receptions for 1,194 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four years at Kent State. Archer also racked up 2,342 yards and 24 touchdowns on the ground. So far, in his limited time with the Steelers, Archer has been seen lining up all over the field.
With the signing of Archer, the Steelers have inked eight of their nine draft picks, leaving second-round pick Stephon Tuitt as the only one who hasn’t signed yet.
