With the 2016 NFL Draft rapidly approaching, that can only mean one thing: Football is right around the corner.
With that in mind, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced their preseason schedule for the coming season.
While the exact dates and times have not been announced, the four teams the Steelers will be matched up against has.
Pittsburgh will host its first two preseason contests and finish on the road for the final two.
The Steelers will play the Detroit Lions in Week 1 and the Philadelphia Eagles the following week.
Week 3 will see the team travel to New Orleans, and the preseason will conclude with a visit to the defending NFC Champion, the Carolina Panthers, in Week 4. The matchup against the Panthers marks the 14th consecutive season the two teams have met in the preseason.
The schedule means the Steelers don’t have to host a meaningless Week 4 preseason game where the starters sit out the entire game. If anything, that should be good for the fans.
