The Pittsburgh Steelers lost a member of their practice squad on Thursday when the Arizona Cardinals plucked defensive end Josh Mauro away from the black and gold.
Many were pretty high on Mauro, but his signing left a spot on the practice squad and it was filled by a familiar name.
The Steelers announced on Friday that they have signed defensive lineman Ethan Hemer to replace Mauro.
Hemer was on the Steelers practice squad just a few weeks ago, but was released when the team signed safety Jordan Dangerfield.
The Wisconsin product went undrafted this year and spent training camp and the preseason with the Steelers.
While at Wisconsin, Hemer recorded 88 total tackles in four season and had a pair of sacks.
