For the second consecutive week, the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to get a conference win in convincing fashion, this time by beating the New York Jets 31-13 on a picturesque afternoon at Heinz Field. Robert Golden’s presence helping Steelers’ secondary
The Pittsburgh Steelers have always had consistency when it came to Robert Golden and his position on special teams. Golden, who is in his third year as the special teams captain, is now stepping up in his role as the Steelers’ starting strong safety. Golden became the consistent starter this season, starting the preseason games and the first two regular-season games. He’s recorded 15 tackles this season and picked up a fumble against the Bengals. Training camp notes from Latrobe
It was beautiful day at Latrobe yesterday as the rain (for the most part) held off, and the Steelers continued to prepare for their first pre-season game of the 2014 season. The Steelers will travel to New York to play the Giants on Saturday night.
