Yes it has only been three games and no the competition hasn't been very good at all, but Pitt head basketball coach Jamie Dixon may be able to do something this season that he hasn't been able to the past few seasons. That would be being able to turn to a bench that has depth and talent. Jamel Artis leads Pitt to blowout win vs. Cornell
Jamel Artis made it a point to be aggressive right from the opening tip. Chris Jones shoots Pitt past Syracuse
Needing a big win to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive, the Pitt Panthers needed to go into a building they are very familiar with and defeat a former Big East Conference rival they defeated just two weeks prior. Things didn’t come easy for Pitt (18-10, 7-7 ACC) as ... Read More
Pitt suffers first loss of season at hands of Hawaii

Hawaii's Michael Thomas scored four of his 12 points late in the game as the Rainbow Warriors defeated Pitt 74-70 early Saturday morning, sending the Panthers to ... Read More
Chris Jones and Aron Nwankwo Likely to Redshirt for Panthers
One tidbit, though expected, that came from Jamie Dixon's initial postgame press conference was the fact that guard-forward Chris Jones and forward Aron Nwankwo will both likely redshirt this season. "I liked what I saw from us tonight and I like how deep we are as a team," said Dixon after the Panthers defeated Mount St. Mary's. "That will make it an easier decision to probably redshirt Chris and Aron this season." Jones is a true freshman from Teaneck, N.J. who didn't sign with the ... Read More
