It looks as if Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt defense could be getting some great news for the 2016 season. According to KDKA-TV sports producer Mike Vukovcan, it appears that Panthers defensive end Ejuan Price will be granted a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA. As the Pitt Panthers prepare for their December 28 trip to Annapolis for the Military Bowl, several of their players were honored on Wednesday from the coaches who they faced during the regular season. Freshmen Jordan Whitehead and Qadree Ollison tied for overall Rookie of the Year honors. The two were named the offensive and defensive rookie of the year last week by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association. After an eight win regular season that opened up some eyes, eight Pitt football players were recognized Monday by the ACC when their season awards were handed out. Junior wide receiver Tyler Boyd and senior defensive end Ejuan Price both landed on the All-ACC first team. Things didn’t go the way the Pitt Panthers would have liked Saturday against Notre Dame at Heinz Field, but a pair of Panthers were recognized by the league. Senior defensive end Ejuan Price has been named the ACC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week, while freshman safety Jordan Whitehead is the ACC’s Rookie of the Week.
