Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is facing a two-game suspension in relation to his August arrest for marijuana possession, according to a report by ESPN’s John Clayton. Bell was stopped in his black Chevrolet Camaro on August 20 in Ross Township along with his former teammate, LeGarrette Blount. Blount in Super Bowl is a bitter pill to swallow for Steeler fans
If you had a chance to listen to any of LeGarrette Blount's Super Bowl media day comments reflecting on his sudden release from the Steelers in November, it had the air of a child who knew he had gotten away with something he was not supposed to do, and now was bragging about it. In fact, as Blount opined about how great it was to be a Patriot to anyone who would listen, you really did get the sense that Blount and the Patriots had pulled a fast one on the rest of the league. Cutting Blount was the only choice
When the Pittsburgh Steelers announced earlier this afternoon that LeGarrette Blount had been released, I was busy furiously penning my own case as to why there was no other choice but to cut ties after only 11 games. You see, for all of the transgressions over Blount's career, both in college and in the pros, the last of those poor decisions was his worst. In this case, there were no punches thrown at an opponent, no police involved, no nearly coming to blows with one of your teammates or ... Read More

Meanwhile, the Steelers have serious questions now at running back, with only Dri Archer and practice squad player Josh Harris available in house to back up starter ... Read More

Steelers’ LeGarrette Blount could turn out to be perfect compliment
One thing the Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t had in a few years are multiple running backs that can step in and carry a full-time load when needed. The offseason signing of LeGarrette Blount solves that problem. After a nice close to the 2013 season for rookie Le’Veon Bell, the Steelers were in search for a compliment for the Michigan State product and they wanted to find a way to lighten Bell’s workload along the way. They accomplished both with Blount. Blount is still in the prime of his ... Read More
Steelers Sign Lance Moore, Will Visit With LeGarrette Blount
The Pittsburgh Steelers made a significant addition to their depleted wide receiver depth chart today, signing 30-year old WR Lance Moore to a two-year deal. Financial terms have not been immediately disclosed. Moore was released by the New Orleans Saints after spending eight seasons with the team. He was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo in 2006, and was due to make $3.8 million in 2014 before becoming a salary cap causality. Moore caught 37 passes for 457 yards and two ...
