PSAC West Men’s Notebook: Slippery Rock suffers letdown against Clarion
One of the biggest fears in sports is receiving a letdown after an emotional win. Slippery Rock’s men’s basketball team lived that fear Wednesday night. Coming off a monumental win over IUP Saturday night, Slippery Rock received a monumental loss at home to the Clarion Golden Eagles by a score of 68-67. As competition in the PSAC is beginning to heat up, No. 20 IUP and Gannon continue to keep rolling.Both teams won each of their games this past week. Gannon maintained the league's best record and sit at 10-1 inside the PSAC. The Golden Knights picked up wins over Kutztown (76-61) and Edinboro (66-48). Three PSAC squads set to play in NCAA Tournament
It was announced Sunday night that three teams from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference would be playing in the Division 2 Men's Basketball Championship. IUP, East Stroudsburg, and Slippery Rock were all selected as part of an eight-team regional and 64-team tournament set to kickoff this weekend.
