Penguins captain Sidney Crosby will try to get a monkey off his back, and hopefully lead his team to another victory over a Western Conference foe, when his Penguins take on the St. Louis Blues tonight. Penguins acquire defenseman Ian Cole
It took a while, but the Pittsburgh Penguins have found the defensive help they were looking for at the traded deadline. They waited until late in the day on Monday, but eventually acquired defenseman Ian Cole from the Saint Louis Blues. Cole, a 26-year old native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, was the Blues’ first-round pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. The Penguins will take to Consol Energy Center ice tonight for the first time following their Christmas break, and for a change, they were greeted with some good injury news. Center Brandon Sutter, held out of the last two games as a precaution while being tested for the mumps, tested negative and will return to the lineup tonight.
