Penguins glide past Coyotes to win sixth straight game
Over the last week, the Pittsburgh Penguins (19-7-3) have been on an absolute tear. In the last 10 games, the Penguins are 8-2-0 and have scored 50 goals while riding a six-game win streak. Not only has Pittsburgh’s offense been revitalized, but a lot of this dominance has come from the team's third and fourth liners. And Monday night, with a final score of 7-0, Pittsburgh was dominant once again and made the Arizona Coyotes look like they didn't show up for the game at all. Pittsburgh's ... Read More

Pittsburgh Penguins Prospects: 3 Up, 3 Down
Three Up 1. Scott Wilson After a fairly productive 2014–15 professional debut hampered by injury at the midway point, left winger Scott Wilson looked to be a top player in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Part 1: Penguins 2015 Top-10 prospects
In the last decade, the Pittsburgh Penguins have seen some of the most intriguing and high-profile prospects in the entire National Hockey League come through their system. Even as the team's big-time draft picks of the early 2000's turned into NHL stars, the team was still touted for their defensive depth. Those days, however, have passed. Now, after a series of trades and a few players that have moved on to full time NHL positions, the cupboard is once again looking rather bare. Corey ... Read More
Pens mailbag: Fitzgerald, fancy stats and the fourth line
Will the Penguins get a compensatory draft pick for the Devils hiring assistant general manager Tom Fitzgerald? No. The new NHL policy that allows teams to seek draft-pick compensation for hired-away executives and coaches only allows teams to be compensated for someone hired to be head coach, general manager or president. When the Devils hired Ray Shero as general manager, the Penguins could have sought compensation but chose not to. They were awarded third-round draft picks when Dan ... Read More

Left-winger Scott Wilson, center Oskar Sundqvist, and right-wingers Tyler Biggs and Josh Archibald all missed the first day of prospect camp and are not expected to skate this week. Wilson, 23, could be in line for a fourth-line job in Pittsburgh ... Read More

To be successful against the top team in the National Hockey League, the Penguins will need to play better than their 8-11-2 record since the beginning of March. Even more worrying is the fact that of those eight wins, only two have come against teams that qualified for the postseason. The first step toward accomplishing that goal is getting some healthy bodies in black-and-gold uniforms. ... Read More
